GH-Spreader: a tool for Nerds and PROs, not for N00bs!

Notes for Nerds. RTFM.

Note: GH-Spreader does not run on old, small, LG, SAMSUNG, iPhone, Android, or exotic phones. See requirements at the bottom.
It will use Bluetooth to send the file to the other phone.
To make sure everything works fine, your phone will connect to the GH server in the Internet - but the amount of data transferred is small
To download the GH-Spreader, chose a phone on the right, and download the installer to your computer.

Install using a computer:

Choose your mobile from the list
Put the the downloaded file to your phone using Bluetooth (slow) or USB cable (preferred).
Locate the file on your phone and open/install it.
Follow the installation instructions on your phone
(Note: We did not sign the app - please ignore the warnings. Only thing we need is Bluetooth and Internet, as for Gedda-Headz itself.)

Spreader? What? Tell me!

The GH-Spreader is an application that allows you to send the GH installer for the Gedda-Headz game to the mobile phone of others. The other users will be able to install GH, but from the file you sent them. No Internet donwload required for the other user.
The best is: You will get rewarded and RP for spreading GH!

Beta Version

This is a beta version. Please make sure to upload your results directly after spreading. Otherwise you will lose the previous results. This will be fixed in the next version. Sorry for that!

Using the Spreader

Copy the installer to the phone (use WiFi to download or USB cable. The file is larger than 8 MBytes!), and open it on your phone.

Start and log in using your GH username and your GH password. This makes sure you get rewarded once we can validate the successful spread.

The Main Menu

1st. Choose the target phone. Which phone has the other user? Choose the left icon to select.

2nd. Scan for the phone of the other user. You must have Bluetooth turned on. It may take a while, so please be patient until scanning is complete.

3rd. Spread! This means you will send the GH installer to the other phone. The other user will then be able to install GH using the received installer file.

What happens after spreading?

You will notice a message and a 4th icon in the main menu. Use this to upload your spreading results for tracking. It submits your GH username and the phone ID of the other user.

How do I get rewarded?

Once you have uploaded the spreading result, and the other user has created a GH acount from his phone, using the spreaded GH application, your GH account will be tagged as GH Spreader.

When will I see my reward.

There will be an achievement for spreading GH to other users. It is currently not yet shown. Once in place, you will see it in you profile, and of course other users will see it too!
And - your RP will increase of course.

Requirements to use the GH-Spreader:

a good and modern phone with Bluetooth, preferred a NOKIA N-Series or similar
mobile must support MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.1, along with unlimited JAR size
be able to connect to the Internet either using 2G, 2.5G, 3G, etc. or WiFi
download it using your browser. The installer is larger than 8 MByte! Use WiFi.
